To ensure we provide you with accurate pricing and deliver labels that exceed your expectations, here's what we need from you:
The label feed direction is critical for machine-applied labels as it determines the orientation and alignment of labels during the application process. Ensuring the correct label feed direction prevents misfeeds, jams, and inaccuracies, leading to efficient labeling and consistent product presentation.
Detailed Label Specifications: The first step in the ordering process is to provide us with detailed specifications for your labels. This includes information such as label dimensions, material preferences, adhesive type, finishing direction and any special features or embellishments. The more details you can provide, the better we can tailor our quote to meet your specific needs.
Label Dimensions - measured across the label, then around the label. Include desired corner radius.
Material Preference - e.g., Semi-gloss, Wine Stock, Vinyl, BOPP Polypropylene, etc.
Lamination - Gloss, Matte, Thermal Transfer, etc.
Adhesive Requirements - permanent, removeable, window cling, etc.
Embellishments - foil stamping, embossing, tactile varnishes, etc. if applicable.
Application Type - machine applied, or hand-applied.
Finishing Direction - important for automatic applications. Hand-applied labels does not usually require a wind direction. See wind direction chart
Special Finishing Instructions - if applicable. e.g., sheeted labels, kit-packed rolls, etc.
Overall Diameter (OD) of the finished roll - if applicable
Quantity Requirements: Knowing the quantity of labels you need is essential for accurate pricing. Artwork files should be provided in vector format (e.g., AI, EPS, PDF), Images are only accepted for Digital Printing.
All fonts converted to outlined, or provided in a packaged file.
All images embedded into the file, or provided in a packaged file.
All images are a minimum of 300 DPI, are embedded or provided in a packaged file.
List all colors specified using Pantone (PMS) or CMYK values. For best results, use Pantone colors for Flexo printing, and CMYK values for digital printing.
Minimum 1/8th (0.125”) Bleed around the edges of your artwork. See our blog about print bleed here.
